The whole process includes effective mind-body-spirit techniques such as affirmations and visualizing, seeing/drawing exercises, and pep talks on accepting yourself now and living with serenity in our culture’s seeming insanity. Why not use as much as possible of today’s available knowledge to increase the odds of success? My sister did this with good results when she quit smoking. She had tried repeatedly to stop on her own, but couldn’t do it. So, she signed up for a hospital smoking clinic where it seemed to me that they used every trick known to man to change the behavior permanently (even rubber bands on the wrist to snap if you crave a cigarette. Ouch.). It worked very well. Why not do that with food/weight/body issues? Eating too much or too little for our bodies (emotional eating) can be as resistant to change as smoking. What You Will Need:

Not much. All you need physically is a quiet place to look at yourself in the mirror, say a bedroom or bathroom, and a pencil and paper. A camera like a Polaroid to take pictures would be nice after a few sessions for awkward angles looking at yourself. Or, a tripod &/or trusted loving friend to take photos would be useful. Whateva…. It’s just for you, so suit yourself. For the maximum effect in seeing yourself in a new way (and having fun), try the makeup, hair fluffing and silly dressups suggested, using what you already have at home.
